Dear friends,

Every single day more and more people suffer the consequences of the current virus outbreak. As the pandemic rapidly spreads across the globe, we’re witnessing disturbing scenes each and every day. Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by the ongoing crisis.

While many are fighting for their lives, numerous freelancers, small businesses, artists, agencies, event organizers and venues are trying to keep their business afloat. The event industry has been among the hardest hit by the coronavirus disease. Be that as it may; we understand and support the decisions made in light of the current health situation and the challenges still ahead.

But even during the darkest of days, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Our team has been working day and night and we’re more than happy to announce the return of 909 Festival in 2021! And that’s not all; we can already say that it looks like most, or even all, of the artists will be joining us next year as well. A special thanks goes out to the artists and agencies who made this possible on such short notice.

Your ticket for 909 Festival 2020 will automatically be converted into tickets for next year’s edition. With the artists on board and 909 celebrating its 10-year anniversary in 2021, this one promises to be something special.

We understand these are uncertain times for a lot of you as well, however, we would like to appeal to your love for the event and music industry at this time. Every year a lot of freelancers and small businesses are dependent on the festival season. You can think of our sound engineers, cleaning companies, stage designers and many, many others. Not only are they relying on their income for the upcoming months, but many suffer the consequences of expenses already made.

By holding on to your ticket, you are supporting each and everyone in the industry while they struggle to get through these difficult times. This industry has been through difficult times before and, thanks to all of you, we’ve always managed to survive in the face of adversity. It’s in these challenging times, we must stay united and stand tall together.

If, for any reason, you are not able to join us on the dancefloor next year, you will be able to apply for a ticket refund. This goes for all tickets bought through official channels including Ticketswap. On April 8th all ticketholders will receive a mail for their refund request.

We want to thank all of you for your patience and your heartwarming support over the past couple of days. To our crew, suppliers and volunteers; keep your head up and hang in there, good times will come again.

We’d like to end by sending our love and strength to the medical personnel around the globe, putting their life on the line each day, and to all who are in the front lines battling this awful virus.

Stay strong, stay safe and always remember that music is the medicine of the mind and the soul. We hope to meet you all on the dancefloor again soon.

💚 909 team
